What's the matter, petal? Artist armed with a pencil (and a good eye) takes on reality to produce stunning perspective drawings

A monkey takes the underground and a lion walks down the street in these mind-bending photos.
Belgian visual artist Ben Heine, 28, blends photography and pencil sketches to create imaginary scenes.
Other images show a baby's face in a sunflower, a fisherman catching a shark, and a cat snuggling up to a dog.

Ben said: 'I find a location, then do the drawings, then take a photo to combine with the drawing.
'I like to stretch people's imaginations. A monkey on the underground, why not? I take my ideas with me all over the world.'

Ben, who studied journalism but now works as a full time artist in Brussels, has nearly reached his goal of finishing 100 pieces.
He has used locations in London, Spain, Tunisia, and Belgium for his work.

Ben said: 'I started the series mixing drawing and photography in 2010 and it's almost reaching an end.
'A few months ago, I started adding colours in my sketches - previously they had all been black and white.'
Ben's subjects include imaginary effects combined with animals and architecture, and sometimes people.

'People are usually surprised and intrigued by my work, many want me to create a Pencil Vs Camera image with their own photos.'
