What was supposed to be an bungee experience full of adrenaline could have become a nightmare for an Australian girl. Erin Langworthy jumped from a height of 111 meters just to end up into a Zimbabwe river known to be fully infested with crocodiles.
She was in a free fall from Victoria Falls bridge, but just 25 meters above the water, the unthinkable happened: the rope snapped and she plunged with her legs tied into the croc river.
“I crashed into the water with my legs tied and had to swim to the riverside. It was pretty scary, because I was in troubles several times when in the rope got stuck among the stones on the bottom of the river. I had to dive and to release the rope,” she confessed.
The experience occured quickly and the woman did not suffer any major injury to the amazement of the doctors. In an online statement, Safari Par Excellency, the company that organized the bungee jumping session maintains its operation as safe and that the broken equippment has been replaced.
